AFTER-SCHOOL AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

After school and enrichment programs are designed for the more innovative and progressive schools whose faculty, parents, and students place a high priority on educational offerings far above and beyond those programs which are often a redundancy of what is taught in a classroom curriculum. 

Social development and behavior emphasis receives the same priority by such schools, faculty and parents in their students and child’s development. Many students who have participated in our school programs and enrichment offerings along with their parents have become "alumni" of our observational astronomy courses held throughout the year in the surrounding communities. 

 So, lets be candid about it. Astronomy Delight! after school and enrichment programs are not for every school or PTA who needs to offer a "filler" ,"recreation orientated" or "free playtime" after school offering.

Children thoroughly enjoy our programs and have a lot of fun....but they are designed to be unique

LEARNING EXPERIENCES  FOR EVERY STUDENT

who attends and should not be compared with programs which only demonstrate, entertain or fail to emphasize educational instruction or philosophy.

After-school and enrichment programs are fun and imaginative learning experiences for students of every age and ability! Along with a variety of unique simple props, "hands-on" experiments, demonstrations, slide shows, (sometimes taught by a humorous fully uniformed "Star-Trek" officer or "Einstein" himself), average children as young as 6 have learned and understood such advanced and complex concepts as large numbers, cosmology, stellar formation, observing techniques used by astronomers and astronauts, comet formation and origination, and telescope operations! INSPIRE YOUNG IMAGINATIONS! 


    From constellation story and lore, to children’s contributions to real astronomical knowledge throughout the ages, we cover topics never found in a mandated curriculum. Depending upon the class, (and mother nature) actual outside telescopic observation is sometimes provided during the last class.
